Marijuana Deathsquads @ Nick and Eddie

I don't quiet remember how I came across these guys but I ended up checking them out online at some point and really liked what I saw.  I started seeing dates for shows, but was never able to make it work to go see them. Finally this date came along and worked out.  This was my first time at Nick and Eddie to see a show, or be there period.  I'm definitely glad I brought my earplugs, because holy crap was it loud.  Tiny space and lots of speakers; I guess that's what you'd expect.  I was pretty impressed with all the little boxes and wires they hooked up to perform with.  Mixers, keyboards and things I had no idea what they were.  It also seemed like at least 3 guys were doing vocals at the same time, but I could only really hear 1 of them.  Maybe it was because it was so loud that the details got lost, or I'm just not good at hearing that sort of thing.  It was a quick 30 minute set, which was a little disappointing.  But for $5, I guess it's not that bad.

A guy I met at the show mentioned this site online that had a ton of Marijuana Deathsquads recordings.  I tracked it down and he wasn't kidding.  Looks like there's plenty of stuff for me to listen to.

Was a great show. I might've been the dude that recommended Empty's Tapes. Empty's an awesome dude, was really glad he recorded so many of their gigs.

Yep, I remember that, thanks again! I'm now following his blog and have downloaded some of his recordings. Thanks again!
